![]() An actress whose career began on the New York stage at the age of 6 and has bridged childhood stardom to classic leading lady status, DIANE LANE (Christina Cotter) was most recently seen in the box-office success "My Dog Skip," opposite Kevin Bacon. She earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her critically acclaimed performance in Miramax's 1999 film, "A Walk on the Moon." Lane's impressive filmography includes Peter Masterson's "The Only Thrill," "Murder at 1600," Francis Ford Coppola's "Jack" and Walter Hill's "Wild Bill." Additional film credits include the Coppola films "The Outsiders," "Rumble Fish" and "The Cotton Club," as well as "Judge Dredd," "My New Gun," and Sir Richard Attenborough's "Chaplin." In 1978, Lane made her film debut opposite Sir Laurence Olivier in George Roy Hill's "A Little Romance," and subsequently appeared on the August '79 cover of Time Magazine. On television, Lane recently starred opposite Bill Pullman in TNT's "The Virginian," and with Gena Rowlands in the Hallmark Hall of Fame drama "Grace & Glorie." Previous television credits include "A Streetcar Named Desire" and the award-winning mini-series "Lonesome Dove," which garnered Lane an Emmy nomination as "Outstanding Lead Actress," as well as the critically acclaimed mini-series "The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All," with Donald Sutherland and Anne Bancroft. |
