KAREN ALLEN (Melissa Brown) has been one of the industry’s busiest actresses over the past two years, starring in "The Basket," with Peter Coyote, and the upcoming "Shaka Zulu: The Citadel," with Henry Celé and James Fox.

Among Allen’s numerous film credits are starring roles in the thriller "Ghost in the Machine"; Steven Soderbergh’s "King of the Hill"; "Scrooged," with Bill Murray; "The Glass Menagerie," directed by Paul Newman; "Starman," opposite Jeff Bridges; Alan Parker’s "Shoot the Moon"; "Split Image," with Peter Fonda, and Steven Spielberg’s "Raiders of the Lost Ark." She made her feature film debut in "National Lampoon’s Animal House" and followed with "The Wanderers," "A Small Circle of Friends" and "Cruising."

On television, Allen recently starred in the made-for-TV movies "All the Winters That Have Been" and "Hostile Advances: The Kerry Ellison Story." She previously starred as teacher-astronaut Christa McAuliffe in the tele-feature "Challenger" and as Abra in the mini-series "East of Eden."
