

JANET WRIGHT (Ethel Shatford) is a character actress who made her film debut in Robert Altmans "McCabe and Mrs. Miller" in 1971. Since then, she has been in scores of movies and television shows, primarily in her native Canada.
Among Wrights feature film credits are "Bingo," "American Gothic," "Cowboys Dont Cry" and "Bordertown Café," for which she was awarded the Canadian Genie Award (Canadian equivalent of the American Oscar) for Best Actress.
On television, Wright most recently supplied the voice for the character Constance in the "Redwall" cartoon television series and was featured in the cable series "More Tales from the City." She has appeared in numerous stage productions in Toronto, where she resides, and throughout North America.
